Yvette Marquez-Sharpnack

Yvette Marquez-Sharpnack is a recipe developer, food writer, food photographer, and blogger behind the award-winning blog, MuyBuenoCookbook.com. Most recently, Yvette was awarded an Emmy as a producer and writer for one of her Dia de los Muertos videos on her YouTube channel. She has been featured on Latina Magazine, People en Español, Cosmopolitan for Latinas, NBC Latino, and Siempre Mujer. Yvette’s work has been published online, in various print media, and has been nominated for the SAVEUR awards.  Yvette draws culinary inspiration from her grandmother's old-world northern Mexican recipes and her mother's comforting south of the border home-style dishes. She is devoted to developing healthy Latin-inspired recipes, and to educating others about how to enjoy traditional cultural cuisine in a healthful way while keeping traditions alive.  Yvette has also been an active supporter of Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. She lives in the beautiful state of Colorado with her husband and two children. She is the author of  Muy Bueno: Three Generations of Authentic Mexican Flavor  and Latin Twist: Traditional & Modern Cocktails.
