Spice Toasted Pecans
These sweet and savory nuts are the perfect topping for mashed sweet potatoes or added crunchy flavor to salads—and makes a great snack, too! 3/4 cup pecan halves
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
5 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Heat a Farberware Neat Nest 8-Inch Nonstick Skillet over low heat. Add the pecans and cook, shaking the pan often, until toasted, about 3-4 minutes. Transfer to a bowl.
- Return the skillet to the stove over low heat and melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and water; cook, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved, about 30-40 seconds. Add the pecans and cook, stirring, until well coated,1 minute. Stir in the cumin, cinnamon, and salt and cook 1 minute longer. Transfer the nuts to a plate in a single layer and allow to cool.
